materials: various yarns, burlap to weave a 16 x 16 x 5 feet three-dimensional fabric
A contemporary, site-specific architectural landscape installation woven on a constructed three-dimensional loom in a traditional Indian prayer room. The formless warp that this fabric was made from is installed in the prayer room to elucidate the idea of how a formless entity such as the spirit can be contained within the form of a body; similarly, this fabric form has within it a formless essence. The installation urges the viewers to interact within and configure their bodies as dictated by the installation as they navigate their way through the room.
